LET ME FIRST SAY HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO ALL OF YOU. NO MATTER WHERE YOU ARE TOMORROW REMEMBER THAT WE ARE ALL VERY LUCKY TO HAVE WHAT WE HAVE AND BE ABLE TO STAND ON OUR OWN TWO FEET TO SAY SO.
GOD BLESS OUR SERVICE PEOPLE AND THERE FAMILIES FOR THEY GIVE MORE THAN THE REST OF US WILL EVER KNOW.
NOW LET ME TAKE A MINUTE TO THANK THOSE OF YOU WHO HAVE STOOD BY ME IN MY FIGHT FOR WLS. I WANTED TO GIVE UP MANY TIMES AND I MUST THANK MELODY AND SHERRI AND SUE FOR IF IT WERE NOT FOR THE THREE OF YOU I WOULD NOT OF TAKEN THE EXTRA STEPS TO GET WHERE I AM TODAY. THOSE OF YOU WHO DO NOT KNOW MY FIGHT PLEASE READ MY PROFILE AND KNOW IF YOU PUSH HARD ENOUGH YOU CAN GET WHAT YOU WANT. I HAVE SWITCHED INSURANCE COMPANIES AND I WILL NOW AS SOON AS PAPER WORK IS GOTTEN TO ME AND I SIGN IT AND SEND IT BACK BE ABLE TO CALL THE SURGEONS OFFICE AND SCHEDULE MY APPOINTMENTS FOR APPROVAL FOR SURGERY. THE NEW INSURANCE COMPANY SAID IT WILL APPROVE IT... I AM SO THANKFUL. I WAS VERY LUCKY AS MY HUBBY WHO IS AN OVER THE ROAD DRIVER WAS HOME HERE WITH ME WHEN I CALLED THE NEW INSURANCE COMPANY. SO WE GOT TO SHARE IN THE MOMENT TOGETHER.

Happy Thanksgiving to you Priscilla ... and from someone who knows exactly what you've been enduring ... it took me 14 months to finally get my surgery ... from start to finish. And I'm thankful every day I found what I needed down deep in me to keep trying and not give up.
Thanks to all of you here for the solid and loving support. May you all have a peaceful and loving day.

I totally understand your struggle and frustrations. I am right there with you. I have been battling for 11 months and counting. Please read my profile if you want the full story. First 6 months were constant administrative snafus, (incompetence actually). Since July, 2 denials from my insurance. I just got a call yesterday and my 2nd appeal was "misdirected" and they are asking for an additional 15 days to get to their medical review board! I sent it over 2 weeks ago, and I sent it to the right place (Scranton, PA). It ended up in Charlottesville, SC!!!!!! 
WTF!? Now, my company is changing insurance in January. So with any luck, next year may be my year.

Happy Thanksgiving. I am sorry about your insurance issues. although I dont have the insurance issues. I have medical reasons that my surgeon put me on hold. I had to have back surgery before I could have the wls. I just took my psych eval and am waiting for the next call from the surgeon. Good luck.
