Help pleeeeeeeeeeeeeease!!!

I am truley stressed out and I need your help and support please.I have done all of my requirements for the insurance and my surgeons office had faxed over all my file and sent by mail ove ra month ago.The insurance company told my surgeons office that they would have a answer no later then today and still NOTHING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The insurance told my surgeons office "Just a few more days".I do truley understand that they are very busy but my whole point is why say a deadline date if you know you can not come through with it? Does anyone have any advice on how to get through this as im VERY stressed out?i need some advice and encouraging words pleeeeeeeease!!!

AWWWW Sandra, Its the insurance company's job to drive us all didnt you know that? Between my docs office "losing" my paperwork for 5 weeks and the insurance company giving us TOO MANY hoops to jump through.........I'm amazed that I even got this surgery! Hi Sandra, I think it is a job requirment for people working at insurance companies to be a@@holes ....I mean they totally disregard the "person" they are dealing with and just think of you as a number. I went round and round with mine and after 6 referrals they FINALLY got it right. My only advice is to hang in there and wait them out. It's a pain in the you know where but it's worth it in the end... no pun intended there!! Take care, Jamie

Hi Jamie, I totally agree with you about us just being numbers to the insurance company and that is what aggravates me when it comes to them being the one to make the decision when it comes to your life with surgery as well ya know.They do not know us like we know us or our PCP knows us yet they make the decision if this surgery is right for you,just by reading some paperwork. Karyn, I want to say thank you so very much for taking the time to reply to my post,that means a lot to me.You all are awesome here!!!! I truley hope i know something very soon,but I can say with the help and support from my PCC(Amy),this is all gonna work out,she is the best.And the support from you all i will get through this.I can come here and say whatever is on my mind at any point and you all are such support and i appreciate it more then ever. LOL,i have got a lot of emails stating my xmas cards were recieved,I send them out the day after thanksgiving every year.I hope you all enjoy them!!!!

Hi Sandra, Have you called the insurance company yourself?? This might clear up the reason for the delay... Just a thought...

dear sandra: sorry to hear you're so stressed. i do believe that the worst parts of this journey are the wait for approval and then the wait for a surgery date. the road is a long one and, truth to tell, there will be many hoops to jump through. but it will all be WORTH IT. i would call the insurance company, though. it's the best way of making sure the communications have not broken down and at least you will feel you're doing SOMETHING to further your cause. good luck. hope we hear from you soon regarding this issue. take care dorthe
