HELP!
Okay im suppose to be getting 500-800 cals a day well i ate four meals of meat (protein protein protein) and it was around 320cals what am i suppose to do to up my cal intake????? My surgeon says meat fish meat fish, sometimes a veg (i'am on solid foods thow) but im not meeting my cal intake he said i have lost more the 7lbs when i go back tues he will put me on insure or boost i dont want that gross any suggestion on up my cal in take with my food?

It is tough for me to answer this as I wasn't allowed solid foods for 10 weeks! I'm having a hard time picturing being ready for solid foods after 3 weeks. Are you drinking any protein drinks? If you add a couple of those, it will give you 200-400 calories depending on the brand. One of my favorite protein shakes was:
1 Scoop Isopure No Carb Vanilla (25 grams protein)
1/4 cup frozen blueberries
1/3 frozen banana
1 cup plain yogurt
Splenda to taste
I think the total calorie content of the above is around 250.
Are you a member of the November 2005 surgery board? It might help to ask folks who are at the same place you are what they are eating.
