I know it has been a very long time.....................................but I am back for good. I am now a little over two monthes post-op now. Life has been good and I am feeling wonderful. My pouch for the most part has been very tolerant. Maybe somtimes too tolerant. I just wanted to say congratulations to all the new post-ops and say hello to all the pre-ops. I have been around lurking for the most part lately. I really dont know why. I miss the interaction with you all. So far I am down 60pds. I have just started going through my closet getting rid of some things. If there is anyone who wears a 26/28 or 30-32 scrubs can you pleas let me know. I'd likre to give them to someone who may need them. Recently I have also picked up some very bad habits that I know are a . I need some help keeping myself on track. I find that some old habits are trying to creep back. I did not come this far to let that happen. I just don't know what is going on. If you guys have any advise please Kwheen P.S. I already recieved my first christmas card!!!!!!!!

Kwheen, I suggest you get fitday and start keeping track of what you eat and how much activity (exercise) you are getting. It keeps you honest. At least it does me. Yes, we've gone through a potentially life threatening surgery, we need to take care of our "tool" and our health, from now until the day we leave this planet. I wish so much that WLS was a cure. But, it ain't. We all still have the potential to remain or return back to being super morbidly obese. Let me know if you want more information about fitday. 60 lbs is tremendous! Lori 384/272/170

Lori,I think (no I know) I need more info on fit lady. All info will be greatly appreciated. I use to keep a food log before surgery but I guiess when I was going throught the first stages of being a post-op there was nothing really for me to track. I need to go back to some of the basics. Kwheen

Hey Kwheen!! Good to see ya back where you belong!!! (wif us!) CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 60lbs in 2 months is wonderful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! As for the bad habits sneaking back in... the psych doing my eval.. (also a post op) told me... that since we eat out of emotion.. the surgery can't stop those old habits... She of course reccomended therapy... to sort out and talk about the underlying issues... I have post op friends and they just don't keep any temptation around them and they walk like fiends when they are feeling "weak". I am happy you're back for good and look forward to seeing more of your progress!!

Thanks for that. I do believe if I talk more about these problems wif yall it will help me. I did not know that people go to an eval as a postop, Maybe that is something that I should possibly look into, Thanks for that. Kwheen

welcome back kwheen: i've been lurking a little myself lately so i understand it totally. and as for the bad habits slipping in - aren't you glad you caught yourself now instead of later on? those habits are really, really hard to break. the best thing you can do is forgive yourself and know that tomorrow is a new start and another chance. welcome back. i'm glad you've decided to join in again. it really does help. hang in there dorthe
