6 more days!!!

Well I'm down to 6 more days until my surgery and all I do is cry. I'm assuming it's a normal phase. I can't think straight. I don't know what to do!!!!!! ~Sherri~

Sherri, It is somewhat normal. I say somewhat, because I think the more you reach out for support right now, hopefully, that will help you get centered with this. You are grieving. You need to grieve the old you. Facing the fear of surgery and its complications is so tremendous as well. But, Sherri, all our thoughts are with you. You are 6 days a way from a tough, but, in the long run, extremely rewarding journey! Good luck! Lori 384/272/170

Sherri I am the day before you, and I am finally beginning to find some peace. I was a basket of nerves the last month. I am now doing my liquid diet, and I found out today that my doctor DOES NOT require a bowel prep...thank God. Just remember your reasons and how happy you were when you were approved, and we will get thru this. I got alot of support and input at my local support group last night, plus alot of hugs too.... Best of wishes for Next Wednesday...... Vee

hi sherri: crying is totally normal. it's uncertainty, fear of the unknown, etc... i'm glad you came onto this board cause reaching out is absolutely the best thing for you to do right nowl. but it would be awful to use up the next six days of your life crying. perhaps it would help if you reviewed your reasons for having this done. if you took another look at the research you've done on both your dr. and the procedure. and if you read the answers i'm sure you're gonna get here. IT IS SO WORTH IT. please come back if you need more reassurances. that what we're here for. and of course, come back and let us know when you're a LOSER. dorthe
