He there fellow smores! I wanted to share with you all, I have been scheduled for lap bypass on January 11, 2006. I have to admit, I was REALLY dissappointed. I sulked all day feeling sorry for myself, I wanted this surgery in December! I have two really big reasons for this, one because I am starting school in January and I didnt want it to interfere, but more importantly, I recieve family health plus through social services right now, and I am due to recertify. I am certain I wont qualify because we make more money now, so my insurance will be cancelled at the end of December. The good news is I will be getting new insurance at work and that will begin on January 1. So now I have a question.....will my new insurance require me to go through all of these tests all over again, or will they accept what I have already done? I also thought about finding out what it would cost to pay out of pocket for the insurance I already have just long enough to cover the surgery. Any opinions on what to do would be greatly appreciated!!! Anyhow, as I was saying, I was feeling very annoyed and let down and sad, and then I remembered all of you. WHAt the hell is wrong with me???? How can i be acting like such a spoiled little brat, I know so many have not even made it this far! SO I have adjusted my attitude, and now I am very happy to finally have my surgery date. Thank you all so much for your love and support! Karyn

Hi Karyn, I am happy you got your date....Bad news though.. from what I know your new insurance will NOT cover this just because the old one approved you... As far as I know you'd be starting over again. I like the suggestion of the cancel list...perhaps if you explain this to the surgeon they can work you in... Good luck.. Hang in there!!
