Hi Everyone, I know that most of you are wanting to know how my first day back at work was... Well it went very well. I did no thave to see the company doctor that I hate that was saying I was taking the easy way out. The nurse approved me to go back to work so I headed over to my office after that. Everyone was very nice and greeted me with open arms, hugs and some kisses. It was so much better then what I expected. I held my head up high and no one asked me about havin the WLS. In fact I think that most of the people know, but they just don't know how to approach it or maybe they are just being respectful. I am only doing half days, but dang I am tired! But trust me since I have not had a pay raise in the past three years I am looking for a new job. Thanks for all the support - you all ROCK! Monica F.

Monica, Woohoo! I'm glad it went well. Make sure you get plenty of rest when you aren't working. Took me about 10 weeks not to feel tired all the time. Speaking of pay raises, my boss (who hates fat people and really wanted me to have this surgery for the past 5 years) somehow managed to give me a $12,000 pay raise out of the blue after my WLS! She said she did an "equity adjustment". Which is true, but, I think she has been underpaying me for a long time and now that I'm finally losing weight, she has decided to reward me. Lori 384/272/170

i am so proud of you monica. as already posted - keep that head high. as for the fatigue, it does take a while after surgery to get back to your full strength. be nice to yourself, take it easy, and come back here as much as you can/want to. dorthe
