Update on Virgina
Hi all, I just wanted to let you know that I saw Virgina Petry today. I had my preop appointment at St Lukes, and she was still there so I go to see her. 
Let me tell you, she has been thru the wringer. All in all, she looks good, as well as could be expected. We knew about the lap turned open RNY, she also had the hernia repair, and some problems with an ulcer. However, she now is dealing with a pulmonary embolisim (blood clot in her lung), and she is on Heprin and oxygen, They are still not sure when she can come home, and she may have to be on oxygen and/or some medication for an extended period. 
She sends her best to all of us, and she feels really isolated with our her SMO family to chat with.
So lets keep praying for her, she definatly has cabin fever being in the hospital for so long.
Hope that takes a bit of the edge off everyones mind.

I was really getting worried about her.
I called the hospital tonight and spoke with her for a while. 
She has been through so much. She sounded great! Just anxious to get home.
