I am new to this board I have been on this site for 2 years. I am still waiting to have surgery. I just recently switiched Kaiser to blue shield. I have already had my phys. eval. and I have my nutrition eval. Decemeber 20th. I am so excited because to day I faxed over all of my documents to Sacramento Bariatics for there review. I have my new pcp appointment on 3 of January and will be asking for a referal for both the surgery and a cardioligist. I was diagnost with CHF 2 years ago and I feel its time to be check out again. Anyway just to let you know a little about me I was with kaiser for a long time and just decied I was tired of waiting to have surgery. Lose weight...lose weight that is all they ever said. I had been trying but if I could lose it all on my own I would have by now. So I decied to switich to blue shield. My now prefered doctor is Dr. Machado so I hope everything works out today. I call them today after I faxed the docs over and they told me I should here from them the middle of this week. Well I hope everyone is doing ok right now. Just thought I would say hi. Lorraine

Hi Lorraine, Welcome to this group! I hope everything goes well for you with your new insurance company. This can be such a challenge for so may patients getting approved. Hopefully, it will work better for you since you have CHF...that is definitely life threatening! Lori 384/272/170

Hi Lori, Yes CHF is life thteatening. But I thank God for saving my life already. As soon as I get the weight off my doctors say it will go away. So please keep me in your prayers. Thanks for welcoming me to the group I look forward to a happy journey. Lorraine
