My Sons Fiancee'
Hi Smores!
The news came back yesterday that my sons fiancee (Stacy) had 16 lymph nodes removed and only 1 tested positive for cancer. She also has clear margins. She still has to take chemo and radiation........but the doctor thinks her prognosis is good. I have just been sick about this whole thing. I have also read so much on breast cancer this past week. And I learned something VERY IMPORTANT!!!!!!!! Just because youre young, doesnt mean you cant have breast cancer. Stacy is only 32 and didnt think she had to do self-exams. I shudder to think what might have happened if she didnt go to the doctors when she did. And, breast cancer in women under 40 is on the rise. PLEASE

Hi Willby,
Oh I am so glad to hear that she is doing so well. Just reminder her to keep a positive attitude going through Chemo and Radiation. It can be a very difficult time for a person. She will need quite a bit of space to herself.
I totally understand what you mean about cancer. My dad is 13 out of 13 children and most of them have died of cancer. And there are only 3 still surviving.
My brother was diagnosed with colon cancer at the age of 25 years old. So I know what you mean about cancer. I say this all the time Cancer knows no age it just attacks when it wants to. My brother passed away this year at the age of 40 on July 4th. Even though he is gone I was just glad to see that he is no longer in any pain. My brothers was not caught in time... he suffered a great deal and never complained. Cancer spreads like wildfire if you don't get catch it early.
I am so glad that they caught hers early!
Hugs,
Monica F.
If you ever need to talk I am here!
