Gallbladder safe pre-op diet?

I am in a bit of a strange situation. My gallbladder has been bad and giving me problems for a little over two years. Unfortunately, I cannot get my gallbladder removed in Canada because my weight makes it too dangerous. I have been to two surgeons here in Ontario, and both have refused to remove my gallbladder until I could use about 100 pounds. The last surgeon informed me that there isn't a surgeon in Canada who would touch me at this weight. I am terrified by this because I guess I would just have to die if my gallbladder created an emergency. I have been approved for RNY in Michigan, and the doc will also remove my gallbladder at that time. The surgeon has told me to lose thirty pounds. That's fine, but he also informed me that my gallbladder could take a dive due to the weight loss. I have to prevent that from happening because I simply cannot get it removed here in Canada. It has to hold out until I can get my surgery in Michigan. This is all really stressing me out. I want to lose the thirty pounds because I cannot get my surgery until I do, but I am afraid to upset my gallbladder. Has anyone of you had a bad gallbladder before surgery, and if so, how did you safely lose the pre-op weight? I would love to just go on the liquid diet I have heard some pre-ops have used, but I cannot safely do this. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I hope all is going well for everyone. Take gentle care.- Shelley C.

Shelley((((((((((BIG HUG)))))))))) I know that a gallbladder can go bad after weight loss(rapid weight loss). Maybe if you just took it slow? I know I'm not much help. But I just wanted to say I was thinking about you and your situation and wish you the very best!! willby
