Christmas Cards/Morning Hello

GOOD MORNING AND THANK YOU TO EVERYONE!! I feel like a little kid each time my husband goes to the mailbox..I am screaming is there anything for me?? And guess what?? MY SMO SISTERS LOVE ME!! My entertainment center is filled with cards from all of you and I am soooo THANKFUL!! My son said wow mommy you have alot of friends and we have soooo much fun looking at the envelopes too. It's really neat to see all the different places the cards are coming from. I told my husband I wished I had written in each state on the cards so when I go back years from now I can see all the different places. I love you guys so much and I'm so very Thankful to have you on my side and hopefully soon that will be the losing side... Okay, gotta run headed to my psych eval and nervous as all get out. Hi Jamie! Just wanted to wish you luck with your psych eval. I got a horrible headache during mine...answering 600 questions by filling in 600 bubbles is tedious and then having to answer the silly questions of the dr. But no need to be nervous. It'll be fine. Have a great day! April

Hi Jamie! The Christmas card exchange was a great idea! I have been getting some great cards from SMOers also. I got yours yesterday. Good luck on your psych eval. It's really not too bad. Like April, I had to 'suffer' through the 2-hour, 600 question, fill in the little bubble test too! My insurance company required it, not the psych dr. or my surgeon. It's ridiculous what some of them want. Don't get me started about insurance companies!! Don't worry Jamie. You'll do just fine! Huggs, Ruth

Well I'm home with a tremendous headache. I didn't put anything on my stomach before I left and now it's nearly 12 and I'm finally getting to eat and drink. STUPID ME! Well for starters I DO NOT like riding an elevator up 24 floors and had to do it several times this morning. The girls (students) giving the tests were really nice. The room was gorgeous with nice furniture and even blankets in case you get chilly. The test consisted of 460 questions and they were the most ignorant questions I've ever seen. You HAD to answer them all and true/false. Soemtimes true or false doesn't work so I just did my best and got it over with. The second part of the test consisted of basically the same thing but more about binging/purging ,overeating and things like that. I have another questionaire I have to fill out and this one is a DOOSIE!! It asks questions like :when did you first have sexual feelings????!! Well I'll answer that when you tell me what it has to do with Gastri Bypass!! It asks about family history and what your childhood was like that kind of thing. I'll be glad when this is all over...wheww.. I'm off to lie down and wait for the Advil to kick in. Jamie

My psych exam was nothing like that. I just talk to the psych dr. and he asked me questions like if I ate to fast or too much. Duh!!!! how did he think I got this way.. And he asked me if I had any support at home. and who would take care of me right after surgery , if I knew anyone that had wls. and stuff like that. not that many questions. Oh and yes the card exchange was a great ideal. My boyfriend keeps asking me where all the cards come from and I keep telling him friends and he just looks at me funny... lol
