I'm an emotional basketcase today
hey diane:
it's probably your hormones driving you nuts. it's got something to do with the fat you're losing - but that's all i can remember of the physiological explanation. i also think it's partly relief, at least mine was, i went through the same stuff. not fun, but actually quite normal.
i'm sending you some healing hugs.
hope they help
take it easy

Diane((((((((((BIG HUG)))))))))))
I know exactly how you feel. I literally wanted to die and when I wasnt doing that I was crying. I think its just what they say it is.........hormones. That and the anesthesia. My surgeon said that the after effects of that can last for 4 months. (OH JOY!)
Just take it easy on yourself and this will be over soon. mine only lasted about 4-6 days and the it was gone as fast as it came. Good Luck!!

Take deep breaths.... you have gotten good advice
Why hormones now? The major female hormones are stored in fat... so as you release fat the hormones are released to be excreted along with it.... particularly estrogen.... feel like you are going through an especially vicous cycle? Not unusual .. in fact, to be expected. Hang on... the fast weight loss in the beginning brings about the most extreme in mood changes. Also, some people who had difficulty with having periods now seem to get them with a vengance as the body seems to try to make up for lost time..... hormones... can't live with 'em, can't live without 'em.
Remember also that you have just gone through a huge stressor in your life.... major abdominal surgery and all the angst that goes along with that...
