Myra I'm with Ruth!!! The whole point of having a message board is so we can share, support and vent to each other. I'm sorry to whomever that post offended but IT WAS THE TRUTH and if the TRUTH hurts well...what can I say but WELCOME TO AN SMO"S WORLD!!! Myra you have NOTHING, Absolutely NOTHING to apologize for. Pulling that post was so ridiculous. We smo's know exactly what you were talking about and have probably ALL experienced it! WAY TO SPEAK YOUR MIND!!! Myra, I for one am OFFENDED!!! That is, offended that someone pulled that post! I also read it and agree with everyone else, there was NOTHING wrong with what you wrote, and why was it not ok for you to vent your feelings? It saddens me that OH feels it is not ok to vent your feelings regarding issues we all face with WLS. We all support you, and I agree with what your post said. ((((((HUGS))))) Karyn

(and this is probably going to get pulled so read it fast please!)....I visit another board where they COMPLETELY kicked off a woman for mentioning this site and a problem she was having with another member on HER OWN BLOG!!!!!!!!!! They were trying to censor her on her own blog!!!!! UNBELIEVABLE!!!! willby PS: youre the last person I expected to join me on the sh#t list!!

Hi Myra, I've been lurking here and on the main board for about 8 months. Your post reallly could have been written by me. I really connected with your vent. As a big girl, I see some of the same. I don't feel a connection with physical issues versus health issues. Surgery should be for health. I have heard (at support meetings) comments about clothes and ps. Our surgeons office has made it clear that this is not about being skinny or physically attractive. Not everyone is or will ever be a supermodel. The issues you mentioned are the same I am having problems with (insurance denials, acceptance, length of time for surgery). I am trying not to offend anyone but your post made me come out of lurker-mode because I feel the same. There is a difference on topics between the boards. I'm pre-op and gathering info and not concerned with what I consider trivial . thanks for your voice, franni
