Last night I felt horrible.... And, this morning I still don't feel too hot. I felt weak and tired, and almost flu like sick..... Could this be from NOT eating as many calories as I need? Or was it just a fluke? Yesterday all I had to eat was a baked potato at lunch with tomatoes and onions chopped up onto it. and 1/4 of a banana, and for dinner, a small pork chop, with about 2 tbsp ketchup, cut up onion and red peppers (about 1/4 cup) 1/3 cup green beans, and 1/4 cup of celery and zucchini with egg and milk bake thingie.... I felt full after I had eaten but was not feeling well....... I had to go down for a nap yesterday and slept from about 2:30 pm until 5 pm.... Could this be from lack of calories??? I have to lose 30 pounds in 3 months, and so terrified of overeating. The surgeon wants my range under 1000 calories a day. He actually said 800-900 per day... Could this be why I feel so horrible? My BMI is about 56...... Carrie 324 pounds

It's probably your blood sugar your body is use to getting so many calories and it's not getting them now. When you feel that way eat a teaspoon of peanut butter or drink a little OJ. See if that helps

Carrie, I have to recommend the South Beach Diet. It will give you the protein requirements you need to not feel so bad and give you the good carbs to prepare you for post op life. You'll also lose the 30 lbs. Good luck! Lori 384/272/170

Carrie I was trying to lose weight after my daughter was born and went through the same thing are going through. I dont know what it was but after about 2 weeks I was able to get up and walk and even joined a gym. BUT for the first few weeks I was like a zombie. I had cut my calories WAY back and was eating very little. Thanks Lori for the tip about the South Beach diet because I need to lose some weight before surgery too and I'm not doing too hot my way. I'll give the South Beach a try. Carrie I hope your feeling better real soon HUGS, Jamie

Carrie, you are having such a time with this pre surgery weight loss thingy. I hope you will have a good sleep tonight and that your tomarrow will greet you with sunshine in your soul and a day full of blessings! Funny how some have to loose weight just to lose weight. Needing extra sleep can also be due to depression.... giving up our foods can be depressing for sure. My thoughts are with you.... FOCUS on the goal that you desire.... wls! Sending you a big hug! Take Care, Aunt Pam
