This weight loss thing is so confusing at times. I keep track of everything I put in my mouth on Fitday.com. On Tuesday I worked my hump off on the treadmill, and getting in all of my protein, water, vitamins, and upping my calories to 1000 as my nutritionist suggested and the next morning when I weighed I had gained a pound Then yesterday was a real bad food day for me. I only got 35 grams of protein only 32oz. of water, all of my vitamins but I hardly ate anything and other than a short trip to Walmart to pick up a few gifts I had no exercise. Of course I did small things like taking care of the kids and such but no real exercise and this morning I've managed to lose 2#'s I know we are supposed to keep up on all of the important things we are to do daily like eat protein, water vitamins and exercise but it seems like if I didn't do that then why did I lose 2#'s. I love the weight loss and am not complaining about that just curious as to why Well if you all have any answers I would appreciate it. Take care, Anita

my first guess would be delayed reaction on the scale. second guess would be pms??? but if it turns out that you keep away from the 'important things' and continue to lose weight, please PLEASE please let us all know. i can really and truly imagine alot of us falling off that wagon in favor of seeing the scale move. good luck with the goals for today. see ya dorthe

Anita, I am convinced that the whole "calories in vs. calories out" is not true for SMOs. I exercise for 1 hour 6 days a wee****ep everything I eat in my fitday.com. I totally follow the rules on amount of protein. I've had a good loss of 115.5 lbs in 6.5 months, but, some weeks I don't lose even when I'm doing the exact same thing...I asked my surgeon about it and she said that she wants to measure my basal metabolic rate...I want to see that, because according to fitday, I should be losing about 5 lbs a week!
