5 For the New Year

1. What did you do to ring in the New Year?? 2. How will you celebrate today?? 3. Was '05 a good year for ya or are you glad it's over?? 4. Where do you hope to be on Next New Years Day?? 5. Are you all "un-decorated" and have it all put away yet?? This includes the porch lights... (I understand some folks can't get out there and take them down until the weather improves... but can someone PLEASE tell me WHY they still turn them on every night??)

Hi WLS chik how are ya? great questions and so glad to see them posted again! 1. What did you do to ring in the New Year??slept! i have an awful cold and was sound asleep by 10pm. 2. How will you celebrate today??going to mom's for our traditional Ham and cheese pies(kind of like calzones) this will probably be the last year i have these! 3. Was '05 a good year for ya or are you glad it's over??SOOOOO glad its over, it has been an awful year and I am very excited about all I have to look forward to this year. 4. Where do you hope to be on Next New Years Day?? right here where I am now, only much healthier, happier and smaller! 5. Are you all "un-decorated" and have it all put away yet?? This includes the porch lights... well the porch lights are still up, but not plugged in, and everything else is put away.

1. What did you do to ring in the New Year? Stayed up by myself and watched TV. 2. How will you celebrate today? We eat Collard Greens and Black-Eyed Peas for Money. 3. Was '05 a good year for you or are you glad it's over? Glad it's over even thou it has been a good year for my weight loss, I can't wait for the future losses! 4. Where do you hope to be on next New Year's Day? right where I am but smaller. 5. Are you all "undecorated" and have it all put away yet? Yes but a few stragler pieces to pack up.

1. Had dinner at my Aunt's house and played cards 2. I wont celebrate. Just another day 3. It was a good year but hard, I quit smoking for good. Got off all my meds, and had back surgery that was something. but a good year. I feel better than I have felt in a long time. My back was in so much pain. I just want to cry when I think about that being gone. 4. Lose this weight so I can keep a painfree back. And possible get a part-time job. 5. Nope, I will start tomorrow and the outside lights stay up all year round, but we dont turn them on. And they havent had to be replaced for 4 years.

NEVER PUT ANY UP SO I AM NOT HAVING TO TAKE IT DOWN LOL (I understand some folks can't get out there and take them down until the weather improves... but can someone PLEASE tell me WHY they still turn them on every night??) SOME OF THEM ARE HOOKED UP TO THE SAME SWITCH AS THERE PORCH LIGHT SO THEY GO ON TOGETHER.....

Happy New Year everyone!!! 1. I snuggled my Husband on the couch, watch cops till the ball dropped. Drank a few shots (which made me immediately tipsy).. Showed my dear sweet man just how much I love him. Then fell right asleep 2. I'm working right now. Its actually not too bad. I can live with it. I started working on getting myself back on track with my cleansing of my system. 3. 05 was an amazing year. So many changes, both good and bad. So many new things, so many old things. Learning to let go, move on and stop trying to control things that cannot be controlled. 4. I hope to be at my mothers house, living life large with my Hubby and his three kids. Hopefully at goal weight and feeling even better. 5. Nope, I won't take down my lights till after Valentines Day. I like having the extra sparkle of color. In my house the tree is still up but only for tonight and then that is it. And I'm thinking that we'll hang some extra lights in the bedroom. We'll see. Faith Leach Lap RNY 350/208/159

1. Watched movies with my husband and children. 2. We all watched more movies (the kids got DVD's for Christmas Presents). 3. Yeah it was good I had WLS so it was even better 4. With my family doing something fun. 5. Nope I am still decorated up. Seems like it shouldn't be over yet. But I only had a little tree and my Christmas cards and decorations on my piano. No lights, they are already down. Christy

1. was in bed by 11, just exhausted. (See number 2 for explanation) 2. Today was "Christmas" and "New Years" for my family ... my daughter and son-in-law are finally back from England and our delayed Christmas was lovely! We had a huge chili dinner (which I can't eat much of these days), lots of veggies, tortilla chips and salsa and cheese dips (ditto, can't eat that either), pumpkin pie (ditto, no eat for me). Spent all day yesterday cleaning and getting ready, now all the wrapping paper's cleaned up, the "kids" have gone out, and I'm sitting here babysitting 4 dogs. But it was a great day! 3. OMG! 2005 has been about the most eventful year of my life so far ... so much happening, so many changes, and it seems it went so fast. I'd HAVE to say it was a good year for me. 4. I'd just like to be "around" ... still here, living and enjoying life. 5. Didn't do much decorating to begin with ... (I know, I know) ... but I've had a mantle full of Christmas cards that are still up. Thanks to all of you!!! Happy New Year everyone! Myra

Where do you hope to be on next New Years Day? On the losing side. 5. Are you all "un-decorated" and have it all put away yet? Didn't decorate. Not much x-mas spirit here.

1. What did you do to ring in the New Year?? ~Had pizza with "the prince" and kids, watched the ball drop. 2. How will you celebrate today?? ~We did very little today, went to church then walked 3 miles. 3. Was '05 a good year for ya or are you glad it's over?? ~Glad it's over. Having said that, I wouldn't change what I've been through, it's made me a stronger better person. 4. Where do you hope to be on Next New Years Day?? ~Healthier, lighter, stronger, more engaged in life. 5. Are you all "un-decorated" and have it all put away yet?? This includes the porch lights... ~I don't have a single decoration down yet, we just got back from a trip on New Year's Eve. My lights are on tonight and will be on until I pull them down.
