Welcome Kaycee, Congratulations on your weight loss. Since both your brother and sister have had WLS, that gives you a real world picture of what it is like. It is not a magic pill, it still takes a whole lotta work. Good luck and keep coming back here. Lori 384/260.5/168

This is Kaycee's sister, popping in to say hello. (K - you'll see I took your advice and changed my screenname.) Hmm, am I'm still allowed to post here, since my starting BMI was 58.5? Today it is 28.6 and - despite what my sister says above - I've lost 174 lbs since my RNY on 12/13/04. (But I guess she'd have more accurate info if I called her more often, huh?) Cool story - as you may have read in a more recent post of hers, Kaycee's now lost 168 lbs. When she told me that on the phone last night, I said "Well, now I'm going to brag on us both - you've lost *me*!" That's right, when she hit a loss of 168, my weight was 168. A heck of an accomplishment for both of us! (I say "was 168" because the scale showed me down another lb this morning - woo hoo! So, now I guess you've lost *more* than "me!" ) Anyway, I just wanted to say "hi" and how thrilled and proud I am that Kaycee's doing so well with the pre-op diet and that it looks like she's on target to have her WLS in the next few months. Just think, in a couple of years, between the two of us and our brother, we could be a freakin' WLS commercial! - Whozat
