Why didnt anyone tell me..& an update
Amber,
Surprisingly, there has been very little talk about sagging skin on this BMI over 50 board. On my May 2005 surgery date board, they talk about it quite a bit. I am working out like a demon and have been very consistent about it for the last 4 months. I have dreadfully sagging skin on my legs, arms, belly and breasts. I don't know how I would look if I wasn't working out 5 days a week. I do know that I lose slower then my cohorts who are not exercising, but, I also think their sagging skin is worse than mine. At least that is what they tell me and how they look with their clothes on (these are the people in my support group at the hospital.)
I was told not to even consider plastic surgery until 6 months after reaching your goal weight. Your body will continue to change for that long after. So, I'm 90 lbs away from goal and need to wait after that, besides I have no idea how to pay for plastic surgery...I just think I'm gonna need it.
