good morning everyone! I've been walking every day or every other day (depends on if my knees agree to go or not). I'm amazed that I can walk and sing at the same time!! I usually walk on our road. The only living thing I see are deer running. So I sing while I walk. I figure I cant scare TOO many things off. Or I count my steps (2500). Anyways, long story short(PLEASE!!) I have enough air now to walk and sing. This time last year, I could either(pick one) sing, OR breathe,OR waddle. This surgery is pretty amazing. willby

Willby good for you! And I am so proud of you for writing about your accomplishments today instead of what you did wrong! Dont be so hard on yourself all the time, walking every day is awesome! Karyn

Sipele, So glad to see you this morning!!!! I just cant seem to get Randy Travis's "I'm going To Love You Forever" out of my head. Its because of Stacy and her losing her hair. The line that goes" Honey I dont care I aint in love with your hair, if it all fell out, I'd still love you anyway" I am not a big fan of country music.........thats what makes this so weird. i have to be SOOOOOOOOO careful that I dont start singing it when I'm around her. YAY FOR YOU!!!! willby

Good for you Willby! I think it is the best thing you can be doing for yourself right now! I had such mobility problems before this surgery, it truly amazes me how much I can do now! Woohoo! Lori 384/260.5/168

Well, I'm not there yet but my goal is to get up at least once a day. I don't walk just for the sake of walking, but with my walker I can make it into the den and sit up a while. Twice I have even gone to the kitchen and gotten my own meal. Once was just yogurt, but the other day I actually managed to sit up and make a sandwich. My mom had left all the "makings" together for me because I was going to be home alone all day. I was shaking badly by the time I finished. That's always my first sign that I have been up too long, I start to shake. It doesn't stop until I get horizonal again. Anyway, I don't always make it but I try to be up at least once a day, sometimes I manage twice and a time or two I have been up three times!
