((((((((((((((((((((((((((WILLBY))))))))))))))))))))))))) I still love ya! Your doc is right about the 49 years and 11 weeks thing, it is REALLY hard to change your habits overnight. I think a lot of people count on dumping to steer them away from this problem, and unfortunately that doesnt happen to you. You can do it, we all believe in you and we are here any time you need to whine! Karyn

Hey, Willby, I've done that, too. Sometimes I worry if I can eat too much of something (I can now eat a whole egg with cheese -- I think cheese is some sort of gut lube because I can eat it really easily). Now, one egg and 1/4 C cheese is a lot of protein. It's not a huge amount of calories. I'm still always under 1000 calories a day and I exercise on a regular basis. But I feel guilty eating anything I like. I think this will be easier when I obtain some deli turkey slices. Lots of protein, little fat, not too many calories. I like the taste, too, so I can have a little of that guilt I need to keep me going After I'm able to have meats, I should be able to limit cheese to once a day. Mainly, I eat it because it's easy on me and a good protein source. When I'm lacking protein, I feel sooooo tired. I feel tired a lot anyway. I'm five weeks out and I had an open procedure. They cut an eight-inch hole in my gut. Not to mention the stomach tube or the (terrible) endoscopy I had with NO sedation. I know I'll be able to find other things to comfort me. Hopefully, my energy will pick up at some point and I can get out of the house a lot more. If you want to eat something "bad," Wilby, go for something bad with protein. Pretzles don't have it. Cheese does You can spend a good 45 minutes eating 2 oz of cheddar. That's 14g of protein.
