My Ball and Chain is gone....

Hi everybody, My Ball and Chain is gone...sort of. My wound center Doctor had my nurse put on a different kind of dressing. It's a sponge-type thing that is very expensive. It kinda melts into the wound and promotes good granulation. It is called promogran. I will keep the wound vac off for one week..and then we'll see if I should send back the wound-VAC or put it back on. Let me tell you guys, I am soooo jazzed! I went shopping at an outlet store by my doc's office. And believe it or not...I found allot of clothes on clearance. It was so weird picking up clothes that were smaller than I wear now because I'm a hoping I'll be able to fit into them sometime soon. That was hard because it is so hard for me to imagine being smaller than a 2x. I am a 3x or 4x now. I have been SMO for so many years. Because I never get rid of clothes anyway, I should have a whole wardrobe of clothes when I get skinnier. One of the things I bought was a round neck-long sleeve black velvetish shirt and a skirt to match for $2.99 each piece. Sorry for gloating on my finds....I am just so happy and ready to join the land of the living again. I'm 8 weeks out..let's get on with the program now...I'm tired of being sickly..let's go! Hugs to all! Virginia aka Ginger aka Bargain hunter

Hey Twinnie! You just had your surgery anniversary!!! Do we celebrate 1 month anniversaries around here? Well we should! Yes, it is a relief to get that thing off of me...I sat down on our couch and the phone rang. It took me a few minutes because I was loosing my mind trying to find my cord and machine so I could answer the phone. My back feels better already. How are you doing? Family O.k.? Talk to ya soon. Hugs, Your twinnie, Virginia aka Ginger
