I just don't know.

So I got a call last night from my PcP she tells me that since I am in such a hurry here is the name of my cardiologist so that I can have clearance for surgery. I was like ok and what about my referral for WLS she said that sometimes insurance companies won't approve it without the proper clearance. I was like I know thats the truth I have read it so much on the board. Anyway so I was happy last night but in the middle of the night started wondering about the information she gave me so when I got to work I gave my selected surgeon a call. Come to find out all they need is for her to refer me and they will request all of the other docs they need if any. So then I call the cardiologist she referred me to and guess what no referral was there. I am so right now I don't know what to do. I mean it isn't that hard to write a referral and why does it have to be I wouldn't hold people up with there health I would be as proative as possible. I call my medical group and they were like I don't know whats going on. Well come to find out the girl that use to do referrals no longer works there so the doctor is doing them herself. So guess what SHE DON'T KNOW WHAT THE !@$@! SHE IS DOING!!!!!!! . Don't worry I will keep my cool and soon be on the other side . Please keep me in prayer. Lorraine

Lorraine, I know how frustrating it can be to try to jump through all the hoops! Between doctors and the insurance companies I was just about bald by the time I was finished!! But honestly- its worth all frustration and hassle you have to go through.. Keep your head straight- remember getting angry or rude wont help you any!! it can actually hurt you!! Do your best, try to be patient ( I know its hard) and things will work out for you.. Amber

Hang in there Lorraine! I battled doctors (including my pcp... grrrrrr!), and the insurance company for a year before I finally got to my WLS. It WILL happen. Hang in there and don't give up! Huggs, Ruth

I am sorry you are getting the bariatric suffle. hang in there. I was getting that to but I finally got a surgery date. Be presistent but nice and you will make it. love marie

Lorraine, Its tough, I know. I had to wait through 3 insurance companies and 5 years. But it was worth the wait. Keep your chin up, it will all work out for you. Hugs, Carmella
