Calling all Pasta eaters
Hi guys just thought I would share some information with ya in regards to pasta. My inlaws bought me some Deamfields Penne Rigata that has only 5g of Carbs and I think it was 7g protein. Regular pasta has made me sick, but I did have a few of the noodles the other night with cheese, veggies and a tablespoon of sauce and it didn't make me sick and didn't feel like a lead balloon in the pouch!! Its a whole wheat pasta and they got it at Kroger (grocery store) Enjoy!!
Take care,
Anita
Anita,
I seen that the other day in the local Super Target store. I was tempted to try it myself but Pasta was a huge problem for me pre-op! I had no control when it came to pasta, rice, or breads... Since surgery they all make me so sick so I just avoid them all together.. Maybe once I learn more control I give it a try.. But for anyone who can control their pasta intake- that would be great!!

I am so glad to hear that. I think that is one of the biggest things I was going to miss when I got my surgery was pasta. I am Italian and cant imagine not eating pasta. I have been using dream fields for awhile and was wondering if I was going to be able to eat it after my surgery. Thanks for the good news!!!

I like dreamfields but I also like one I found at wild oats and albertson's. It is a brown rice pasta with 5g protein and 7g fiber per serving. Not that I can eat a whole serving and I only have it about 2 times a month max at that.
The biggest thing I like about the brown rice pasta is that they have tiny shell pasta and I like it with stewed tomatoes, butter and tofu. YUMMY!!!!!!!! and a great side dish with chicken or beef.
