Follow-up to the follow-up endoscopy scheduled ...
Saw my BS yesterday and found out more about the particulars of the ulceration I have. He showed me the scope photos again (man were they ugly!), and I understand alot more about exactly where it's located and saw the "devil" suture that is keeping the whole thing irritated. He even showed me the picture before he cut off the "trailing end" of the suture, where it disappeared down into my intestines. Needless to say, I'm definitely more acquainted and on a "first-name" basis with my bowels now than I ever was before! I've decided to call them "Dumpy" and the suture's name is "BarbedWire"

So I'm scheduled to have a follow-up to the follow-up endoscopy (to simplify, upcoming will be the third) on Feb 8th. He's going to do an esophageal biopsy as well, because of "reflux" type symptoms that have started in again and sending me this week to have my gallbladder ultrasounded (see the reflux type of discomfort I mentioned) ... oh goody (!)
I guess it's best to go ahead and get my deductibles met for the year, but I reallllllllllly don't like those "open-ended" hospital gowns, and I'm not looking forward to being put to sleep for the 4th time in 10 months.
Short of the reflux type hurting after I eat, though, I feel pretty good over all. And I get to look forward to having warm sticky stuff oozed all over my mid-section for the ultrasound ... hey, how could life get better?
to all of y'all
