ER visit, kidney stones

I went to the ER yesterday afternoon after two Percocets wouldn't touch lower abdomanl and groin pain. I apparently passed a small kidney stone while I was there. I had major blood in my urine, but no infection. They did two CATscans and found one stone sitting at the juncture between one ureter and my bladder, and a few in my kidneys. I should pass that one, and the ones in my kidneys may stay dormant. This must have been what was going on last summer. They said to load up on water. I got some gentle nagging from my husband, because I don't drink much at all. I will start. Any advice will be welcome. Luckily, I am having only a tiny bit of pain today. I will let my surgeon's office know what is going on to be prudent and also follow through with my internist as advised. Loris 5'2" 344/226/130

Thanks, I was having a good nap with Curley poodle . I was even having a very hot dream. That one ended and I had a mean, mad dream. Now I have a headache. I think I am going to take a Valium 'cuz the dream brought some nasty thoughts, and go back to

HI, When I read your post it sounded like I had written it. I had my first fun with a stone 2 weeks ago and they are still bothering me. I passed atleast one and then have one on the way out and few more still in the kidney. ( are we twins?) I am having an appointment with a urilogist (sp?)this week and hopfully they will give me more info. I have never had stones before surgery. Is this something that comes as a complication of surgery or just happened to happen at the same time? jennifer 13 weeks out 357/296/175

I think they can be a complication of WLS. My brother had them after surgery too. I believe his doc blamed it on not enough water.
