is falling out. I thought I would be the only one who didnt lose theirs. Good Morning Smorefriends, In the grand scheme of things........having your hair thin out isnt very bad (especially considering Stacy is bald now Its not my hair per se(it really is overdyed and understyled and looks like a red haystack) But it really brought it home to me that I did have surgery. And I am different now. No matter how much I try to pretend that I'm not. And.........I dont know about you guys.........but I HATE CHANGE!!!!!!!! take care willby baldsoon

This is your body telling you to behave.. Are you getting in your protein? It's temporary and a small price to pay to be healthy right??? You can't hate change.. you went thru hell and highwater to get to where you are. It didn't happen by accident... Now go find a nice hat.. and drink some protein!!!!

Willby, I am sorry about your hair I know how important hair is to a lot of people. I just cut mine super-short. I love short hair anyway. Me and my sone basically got the same haircut, a little caesar cut. Mine has not fallen out yet, but it may. I also hate change. I frequently with I could turn off the surgery for a day and got get a big steak & cheese grinder or a 16-oz porterhous and a gigantic baked potato, but I am dealing with it, since I have no choice Good luck to you! Keep your head up! Carrie

Willby, My mom always kept my hair very short because she did not want to comb it (she is not good at that stuff). When I got to be a teenager I grew it out but it is so much work!!! I change my hair a lot, but usually it is short. My mother and grandmother both said, one you have a baby, it's time to cut the hair, and women over 25 look ridiculous with long hair. I am not sure I agree with that, I have seen some older women with nice longish hair, but I guess I agree in a way, just seems more grown up. And, best part....I don't have to comb my hair!!! My daughter has a huge full head of the curliest, kinkiest hard to manage hair in the world. I tried to convince her to go for the Jada Pinkett super short cut, but she's not biting. And you're not old!!!! Carrie

(((((((((((Willby))))))))))))) Maybe you are ready for a NEW hairstyle? I'm one to talk. The only thing different about my hair cut since high school is that it is shorter. I'm still trying to get that Farrha Fauset "feathered bands" thing going for me..shall we say...not working! You are right. We volunteered for the surgery..we stepped-up to the plate. We can never be "normal" again...not that we ever really were in the first place right?? How is Stacy doing? I hate cancer. Hugs, Ginger

Ginger(((((((((((HUGS TO MY HIPPIE GF)))))))))) I try to get a new hairstyle.........but when I wake up in the morning.........it looks the same as it has for the past 30 years!!! Stacy is doing ok..........thanks for asking...........she is 1/2 way through her chemo....the doc said the first 4 treatments are the worst and the next 4 arent quite as harsh. then comes the 7 weeks and 35 radiation treatments. I hate cancer too...........its some scary stuff!! I hope youre feeling better girl..........you sure had a rough patch. but there can only be better days ahead. Right? willby

Willby, My hair loss ended at about 6.5 mos out and is filling back in now. I didn't have too much of an issue with it as many other patient's did. I took GNC's Hair, Skin and Nails vitamin (which is biotin) through the whole process and still do. Don't know if that helps or not. I know I've consistently been getting in my protein. Your hair will be back! Lori
