Hi Everyone Wow...what a last week and a half!!! And am I glad that things seem to be getting back on the right path. I know this sounds kind of crazy but I feel as if I completed a marathon type milestone. As you all know, my best friend passed away, and I told myself that no matter how bad I was feeling there was no way in you know what I would miss her services. I pushed myself to the breaking point, but I made it!! As much as I miss my friend, I know she is just as happy as I am that I made the physical hurdle I had in front of me. Now on to better subjects I finally got my papers from the WLC I contacted in Wichita and I am really happy to find out they are payment friendly on the surgery part. Now instead of having to come up with almost $8,000, I only have to be out around $1,800 out of pocket for doctors co-pays and such. BUT...Don't you just hate that word? the maximum weight limit is 350 pounds, so I have to lose 127 pounds before I can have surgery. I'll admit at first it kind of made me feel like I was never going to be able to have my surgery. After finally getting to talk to a live voice about everything, Wichita also have a doctor surpervised weight loss program for those of us that are over the weight limit. I've made a BIG decision to go ahead and take the trip there and sit in on the seminar and check everything out. My DH talked some major sense into me, and he did have more than a few valid points. I have been very sick this last year, and am still battling my open wound, so like he pointed out, maybe it would be best if I do go through the medical weight loss portion first, and take off more weight before I have the surgery. Sooooooo I'm going to call and find out when the next date for the seminar is and I'm on my way!!! I'll keep you posted on the outcome. Hope everyone has a great day!!! Theresa PS...Willby,,,,thanks for showing me wher I could find my sex life.

Theresa, The medically supervised weight loss program is the best thing. One thing I hope you can see by reading a lot of our posts is that WLS is not magic. I know I just wrote this in my last post, but, in case you didn't see it, WLS is not a get out of exercise and diet jail free card! Sometimes I'm amazed at how much work it really takes and from what I can see, it takes work for the rest of our lives! Anyway, good luck and keep coming back for support. It will be very worth it in the long run! Lori 384/255/168
