Here is my first Gym is Open post. If you exercised today, please reply and say what you did. This is not a competition, it is to be used as a motivational tool. I've been on a pretty hard core exercise plan with a personal trainer that I meet with every 6 to 7 weeks for the past 5+ months. So, what I say I do, I have had to build up to. I had my surgery in May. For the first 8 weeks, I walked and not far...At about week 12, I started really walking. I did that for 2 months before I got a gym membership. Anyway, love to hear from you! Here is what I did today: Cardio: Treadmill 35 minutes (5 min @ 3.0 mph 0%, 30 min @ 4.5 mph @ 2.5%) Weights SB Table Top 3 x 60 sec Machine Back Extension 3 x 10 SB Wall Squat 3 x 8 Machine Leg Curls 2 x 10 Machine Leg Extension 2 x 10 Stability Ball Single Leg DB Shoulder Press 2 x 10 Machine Calf Raise 2 x 15 Moving is a great thing! Great workout, Lori. I'm glad to see you doing both cardio and strength training. I have to stick with cardio only until my rotator cuff heals or is fixed with surgery. Today I did 70 minutes heavy hard work. It's a jungle out there, because of my own neglect, and one of my new year's resolutions was to make it presentable. Best of luck. Kasey 365/210 (nonop)

I did 45 minutes of water aerobics (deep water class). Basically, we have different motions we use, and we do about 20 lengths of the pool at full speed. Then we do whitewater kicking sprints, crunches, and strength exercises that target the hips, thighs and calves. I'm going to need a new bathing suit. I've dropped a lot of weight since I bought this one, and it hangs in a lot of places.

Rebecca, Buy yourself a new swimming suit! I first waited until mine nearly floated off me before I got one. Keep up the good work! Lori
