Going in for Upper GI Series, Chest X-Ray, and ...

Well, it's finally time to get the rest of the testing out of the way. I am going in for my Upper GI series, Chest X-Ray, and Pulmonary Function test tomorrow. I'm a little nervous but not too bad. I also got a call from the pyschiatrist but I have to call back to make an appt. After all this is completed I think I'm done. Bad news is I'm at the beginning stages of what feels like a really bad cold. The little girls next door had it and now it's coming to our house. One nostril drips everytime I bend over and my head fees like it weighs about 100lbs. I hate being sick Have to run and get the kids from school and then come home and start homework. CONGRATULATIONS to EVERYONE on their success!! I am so proud of my extended SMO family YOU GUYS ARE DOING GREAT !!!! Everyone here is such an inspiration for pre-oppers like me!! Hugs, Jamie

Hi Jamie, Wow..sometimes I forget that you are a pre-opper!!! Boy..it will be a load off your back to get that clearance done. I hope you stay healthy..too bad we can't just disappear to a distant island when cold and flu season are here. Stay positive..I think that works! Hang in there, you will do fine! Hugs, ginger

Thanks guys, but it looks like I might be cancelling. I thought I'd be able to hang in there and just get this over with sick and all. It might be worse than I first anticipated. I think..I have the...FLU!! I can't believe this!!! Do you think it would be okay for me just to go in and get the test done? I just really don't want to put this off. I keep going back and forth over this and know if I do put it off I'll be sorry. Someone told me blood work is only good for 30 days and if I don't get all my tests done I'll have to redo most of them. Does that sound right? My surgeon and my Primary Care Provider are both going out of town soon..how do you like that?? Both of them at once... I feel kinda stranded here.. Okay, I'm just rambling here trying to make some sense out of the situation and talk myself into making a decision. Thank you for listening to a crazy woman's ramblings... Hugs, Jamie
