Ok, where to begin. I have heard alot about head hunger , but had not expierenced it for myself until recently. I know that I am not actually hungry, but my eyes and my head are telling me different. I have been making pretty good choices but it has been hard to do. How have youguys dealt with this or how are you dealing with this. Can somebody please me: Kwheen

Hi Kwheen, Well, I'm only 11 weeks post-op and I am just now getting my hunger back. I am still very cautious about eating the wrong things..fast food has always been my fave..but there is very little to pick from. Sometimes I give into the cravings. Like the other day I saw a commericial that shown onion rings at Sonic...oh how I loved those things! Let's just say..I USED TO love those things. I bought a small order..ate 2 of them and realized that they tasted gross!! I had to throw them away. This can get to be an expensive thing to learn, but we have to learn to try and then throw away. Some food is just not the same after surgery and also not the same after it's been heated up in the micro-wave Good luck to you! Hugs, Ginger

Ginger Thanks for that. I know exactly what you are talking about. I have basically thrown alot of money away lately. You are right though the foods no longer taste the same as it use to. Just the smell of some of the things that I eat make me too. Luckily there is a very good health food store right around the corner from where I work and I have found some really great things there. But there are those days that I would love to have a big ole piece of something. Kwheen
