Surgery Postponed

Just wanted to give you all an update and let you know that as of this morning I will not be having my surgery tomorrow. Just as I was getting used to the idea and dare I say... excited, they called to inform me that they still have not received my blood work (from Friday) and since I am anemic, they cannot perform the surgery until they know if my iron levels have raised since my last test results from November. Better safe than sorry, I know... but it is still a little dissappointing. So there it is... until they review the new test results I do not have another surgery date. What a great way to start the week off! Guess I am off my liquid diet for a few days! Hope the fast food industry is ready for me and my SMO appetite!!! Thank you all for your support and I will update you as I hear more. SipeleK

Sipele, I am sooo sorry, as I know that you've been looking forward to this for quite sometime. Hopefully the new date that they give you will not be long from now!!! You'll be in my prayers!!! *smoochies* ~NEVER SURRENDER~ ~T~

Sipele I am so sorry to hear that your surgery is being postponed. But I am glad that they care enough about their patients that they only want the best for you. There are alot fo Dr.'s that will say what the hey and throw you on the table just to cut you. So in the respect I am happy but I also know that your disappointed. Dont go crazey at the golden arches lol Was it that the blood work hadnt came back yet? Or that the Dr.'s office just hadnt received it yet?? Try calling the hospital and if they have it in see if they can fax it to your surgeon. Just a suggestion good luck either way. You will be in my thoughts and prayers. Love ya Melissa

Hey sip, girlfriend, I tell ya, the trip down surgery lane is never ending when it somes to suprises huh? I know how you feel. I had to at the last minute find a cardiologist to say my ekg and eckocardiogram was good instead of my pcp. That wasnt good enough to my surgeon because she wasnt a heart specialist. I know I was so upset but also they were looking out for my interest. At the time, you dont want to hear that though. So its hard on ya I know but it will be over so soon and can just look back at it. So tell them dr's to get it in high gear and get it together soon. Hugs marge

Sis it is a huge disappointment I know but it will be here in no time so don't splurge too much hopefully it will be rescheduled within the next week or so u know I am cheering u on hey and have a big mac for me love candy
