How Long Til I'm Bald?

Good Morning Fellow Smores, This is a questions for all of the wise post-oppers I've been losing my hair now for about 2 weeks. When will it stop? And does it grow back? The only thing I've ever liked about me was my hair. Yes, its 10 different shades of red/brown/grey. And if anyone lights a match near me I'm liable to go up in a blaze of glory. But I loved my hair.........not as much as I love donuts but it sure was a close second!!! take care everyone willbybaldsoon

Hey Girl, Start slammin the Biotin to your body ... they put me on 600 mcg a day at about 5 months out and I still take it. Mine's a tee-tiny tablet that's the least bothersome of ALL the supplements to take. I also take 50 mg of Zinc per day. Your body's just reacting to all the trauma it got put through during your surgery and it takes a few months for hair to get the idea and start jumping ship. Same theory, it will take a bit of time for your body to start regenerating, so watch for new growth once you've taken the Biotin a month or so. My hair doesn't fall out anymore, but it's still not as thick as it used to be and it's holding its own now and that's all I care about. Some also swear by Niacin and that shampoo regimen ... my beautician said I could spend a fortune on their shampoos or just get some Head and Shoulders because it has Zinc in it, so I switched to that (not paying $40 for shampoo ... nope nope nope). Ok ... that's my two-cents ... just don't overwork your hair right now ... baby it. Go simple on your style, and try not to put too much heat on it. These were my beautician's pearls of advice. Willby, How are you doing with your daily protein intake? Hair loss will slow and start growing back if you are 80 to 100 grams a day. Do you think you are getting it? Lori P.S. If you do go bald, will you be posting a picture of yourself wearing a bread bowl hat?

I'm with ya there Willby!! I've been losing my hair about 4 weeks now. It's not so noticeable to others, but I can tell. When I pull it back into a ponytail it's super thin now. It wouldn't be SO bad if just the gray ones fell out now would it???!!! I'm laughing so I won't They all say it's temporary and grows back, so we'll have to hang in there I guess! It's just so annoying having hair everywhere! My kids just say I'm shedding. Hang in there, we won't go bald (I don't think). ok, ok, angel hair may have been a bit insensitive. sorry if you're feeling the loss of your crown of glory. my hair has been approximately the same length as a koosh ball now - for about the last five years. so i didn't really notice too much falling out, but i hear it can be irritating. i've also heard that the biotin and the protein will help it come back in, so i hope you give one or both a try. since you've changed your name to willbybaldsoon from wilbythinsoon does that mean that you now consider yourself thin??? i may not have been reading closely enough, but hows the progress on your journey? take it easy, girl, it's not all gonna fall out and it will come back, too. hugs dorthe
