Hi guys, I hope this is a helpful exercise to post this daily. I don't want to give up! This supporting each other in a healthy lifestyle seems so important. Is this helping? I lost my exercise partner. My neighbor went to the gym with me every morning at 5 am. She moved away this weekend. I'm so glad she helped get me started. This past few weeks, she has been kinda patchy about going, but, I still went anyway. So, I'm sure I will continue on my own! Here is what I did at the gym today: Cardio: Treadmill 35 minutes (5 min @ 3.0 mph 0%, 30 min @ 4.5 mph @ 2.5%) Weights SB Table Top 3 x 60 sec Machine Back Extension 3 x 10 SB Wall Squat 3 x 8 Machine Leg Curls 2 x 10 Machine Leg Extension 2 x 10 Stability Ball Single Leg DB Shoulder Press 2 x 10 Machine Calf Raise 2 x 15 Have a great day! Hi Lori, Believe it or not, I did some time with Richard Simmons today. Can't wait until I get my Gazelle. Maybe in the next week or two. Keep up the good work! deb

Great news Deb! I can believe it and I'm happy to hear it! If you can get consistency with your frequency of exercise, it will become a real habit...that's when it isn't hard anymore to make yourself do it. It takes time though to get to that point. You will though! Lori

I went to water aerobics tonight. We did 45 minutes, including a variety of 30-second sprints (high knee jog sprints, kicking sprints in different positions). We also jumped a whole lot and did crunches (not my favorite -- it's not an attractive position for me). Sunday and Monday, I did chair aerobics (45 minute workouts). I've added weights to the arms portion of my workout. I need to get some leg weights, but I'm holding off. When I've lost enough weight to spare my knees, I'll probably have to do some actual gym workouts involving all the scary machines and an unflattering pair of pants (I do skirts -- my gut in pants is not a good thing). I need to get back to my lap swimming, but I'm having a hard time sleeping at night, and I'm generally too tired to go anywhere at the time when the pool offers lap lanes. I never miss class, and I'm up to four workouts a week (two classes, two workouts at home), but I wish I had more energy. it'll come -- I'm only ten weeks out, and it'll probably just take a little more time before the surgery fatigue goes away, and I can get back to six days a week like before.

Rebecca, I'm surprised you can do all of this when you are only 10 weeks out! Good for you! The surgery fatigue really takes time to go away. But, the exercise regime you are keeping will definitely help that! I'm so proud of you! Lori
