TASTE
Hi Sandra,
I read this all the time on the main board. i dont think they know why it happens........but it does. Some people say it is the taste of ketosis(hope thats the right word) as your body burns fat. I havent had this problem. Isnt it weird how this surgery does different things to your body (and not just weight -wise). I have the most elaborate, colorful dreams now. Not at all like before. Go figure
take care
willby
hi sandra:
not that i want to contradict willby - sorry girl - i had read somewhere that the metallic taste is a leftover from the anesthesia. i had it after my surgery too.
of course, when i think of it, i didn't have it after my hysterectomy so maybe willby's correct. OMG could it be?
i'll let you know if i'm tasting metal after my foot's done on the 13th, O****il then, maybe check with the doc. or maybe you're getting in more 'iron' than you thought. LOL
have a good one
dorthe
Hey Sandra,
Girl you are not alone. I was beginning to think I was losing it there for a while. Things still dont taste right to me. I dont know where it comes from but still is with me too. I cant eat or drink things I even used to like. Nothing hardly tastes the old way. I have had some nausea the last few weeks but am dealing with it. I hate that feeling and nothing seems to appeal to you. So guess we just hang in there and it gets better.
Hugs Marge
