Insurance Approval

Okay as you can all see I am E*X*T*R*E*M*E*L*Y* H*A*P*P*Y* I called my insurance company today. To find out if they had received my papers from my Doctor for sugery approval. Yes, they had and they APPROVED my surgery on the 21st of Feb. They told me that they will be sending out my approval letter to my Doctor this week. My sweet lady that handles the insurance is out this week. So I figured I would give them a call on Wed March 1st. To hopefully give the paperworlk time to get to the Doctors office. The last time I saw my Doctor on the 18th of Jan when he stated that he was going to go for insurance approval. My DH (god bless his heart) asked him. When he got the paperwork back in hand how long before I would have surgery and he told us 2 week. So GOD willing I could possibility be looking at FINALLY having my surgery around the 3rd week of March!! I was to scared to post this for fear of something happening and going wrong. It has been a LLLLLLLLLLLLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONNNNNNNNNNNNNNGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG hard struggle but I guess anything worth having always is. It is just to hard to imagine that I actually maybe coming to the light at the end of my tunnel. HALLELUJAH I will post when I know more. I just got my date this week and believe me there is nothing like hearing that you have a date... I am still on cloud 9 and I figure I worked hard at changing insurance and all so I am going to stay on cloud 9 for a while... Good luck.... Priscilla

Melissa, I am so happy for you! This can be such a long hard process, and it still is even after the surgery, but, you are one step closer to a much healthier life! Good for you! Lori

Congrats Melissa, I am very happy for you. Are you still doing the liquid diet, and if so how is that going?? Let us know as soon as you get a date...looks like you and I just may be surgery buddies, I am scheuled for April 3rd. Vee
