Hello fellow smores! I just finished reading Loraine's post about the needy family and I just about cried. If you havent already read this post please, do, it is two down from mine. i don't have any clothes to give, but I thought even if each of us only spent $5 at the dollar store to get some of the other things they need, that would be so great! Please think about it, these people really need us. Karyn

Karyn I agree with you. I think what ever anyone can do we all need to reach out and do. It always amazes me when I am driving down the road or pulling out of a parking lot. And there is someone with a sign that says "Hungry will work for food" or " No money Please help" and people drive by. they turn their heads like they dont see that person or start talking with whoever there with to draw their attetion away from the person with the sign. And I know I have heard all kinds of excuses why people dont help them. "They're proabley on drugs" or "They will spend it on booze" or "If they really wanted help they would find themselfs a job" or "I work for a living why cant they"? ect and the list goes on and on. 1st I think everyone need to sit down and really listen to the song by Tommy Shane Steiner called What if She's an Angel. Talk about an song that will really make you think. I love it because you really never know how even 2.00 might change that persons life. Plus how can you go around saying praise the Lord but you turn your head in helping his children. Okay sorry I am done preaching. I worked for several years as a cordinator at a homeless shelter and I found there are always many reasons why they are in the situation they are in. Melissa Look into your heart
