Question about Yucky Protein!
Has any here not been able to Tolerate this stuff everytime i take the protein i get a belly ache, or the dumping stuff! I'm almost 4months out and i have not been doing my protien except for the failed attempt to tolerate it now my doctor said to lay off of it for awhile because my stomach my not be able to handle it but, Has anyone not been able to tolerate it ever?
Hi Marlena!!
Sorry I don't have an answer.. I also have a very hard time with that stuff especially since I can't tolerate aspartame or sucralose...
My nut said to try BENEPROTEIN.. it's supposed to be flavorless.. it does have the lowest amount of protein per serving but it's better than nothing. They have it at Walgreens and Walgreens.com...Maybe this will help ya... Good Luck!!
Hi Marlena!
I am not a fan of the protein stuff either. I keep trying different brands, flavors, and bars hoping to find something. The only protein shake I can take on a daily basis is the Vanilla Very Berry from www.bariatriceating.com I just ordered my second 2-pound container. You can get a sample package of flavors from them as well. Unjury also has a sample package too. www.unjury.com. They weren't too bad, but I much prefer the Vanilla Very Berry! Tastes like berry flavored milk!
Good luck in your search.

Ruth,
Thanks for answering a question I've had ... Vanilla Berry Berry ... I've wondered what it was like. I'm just not a berry-person in anyway ... but chocolate gets old after a while. Just don't think I could do a milk-berry taste, though, so my search goes on.
I use Unjury Chocolate and Unjury Unflavored almost across the board. With the unflavored, I toss in sf/ff instant pudding mixes to flavor it according to whim, and have put fruit in it to add more flavor.
I've read on the main board that some do hot chocolate protein, and that sounds good, but I can't get the powder to not "clump" in a hot situation ... even if I mix it first in cold water or milk and then add the hot. Any suggestions?
I ordered some AchieveOne today ... anyone tried this yet? I ordered the Mocha.

Hi Marlena,
Fortunately, I haven't had a problem finding protein supplements I can tolerate, but I have been helping Margaret look for something she can handle and also something that's not too terribly pricey. What we found are some liquid proteins where you take 2-3 TBSP... one is at GNC called Pro Performance Liquid Protein (a little expensive unless it happens to be on sale), and then I found another at Drugstore.com by Twinlab called Hydolyzed Collagen Protein, which is about half the cost of the GNC stuff. Maybe you would be to tolerate something like this... worth checking into anyway if you haven't already.
Take Care,

I also do the premade shakes from Atkins. I have tried the powder in flavoried and non but I couldnt get it past my lips. I have tried several differnet kinds and it isnt going down and gonna stay there. So I am opting to stay with the Atkins shakes. Plus you can spice them up. I ordered some sugarfree syrups "Da Vinci" and put a couple tsp in my shakes. Very Yummy!!!!
