Hello Everyone. I am getting closer to having the WLS myself. And I was wondering what do, I get to bring to the hospital? I know that I have a lilttle time to borrow, but because of my financial situation, I would like to start buying what, I need now. Thanks in advance to those that answer this post! *smoochies* ~NEVER SURRENDER~ ~T~

Hi t t. The most important things I used were a pair of houseshoes (that you can slip your feet into) and my favorite pillow from home. Sandra a.

Hi T, I brought too much to the hospital. I wore a baggy housedress to the hospital and wore it back home too. I wore the hospital gowns cause things got..let's say ooy and gooey from the insitions. This way I always got a clean gown. I brought socks and some slip-on shoes. I brought make-up/tolietries/hair brush etc. What do I wish I had brought? Lots of underwear! and chap-stick. Hugs to you as you prepare for this huge change! Ginger

This is embarasing but I was told to bring a old wooded spoon. MAN am I glad I did!! there are places on your body you cannot reach right after surgury. And I was not going to ask the nurses to wipe them. Just wrap the TP around the end and it makes a great extension of your arm. Deb

In addtition to what everyone else said.... ear plugs and something to read or puzzle book (whichever you prefer) they both were lifesavers for... the book due to delays in surgery and the ear plugs because of the moaner down the hall B
