Update: I miss you guys!
Hey everybody, just thought I would check in when I had a few minutes to spare. As you may or may not know, i am back to work AND school, which has kept me VERY busy. I hate that I don't have time to check in as often as I used to but I do stop by to read posts when I can. I am doing well, I will be 7 weeks out tomorrow and down 41 pounds since surgery, and 76 total. I feel great and even got a new do! The picture on my post is the most recent. I am taking Hanna to a beauty pageant today and I will post some pictures of that later as well. I am not making a career out of this, just thought it would be fun, they are having it at a local mall, we'll see how she does. She can be a bit shy, so she may not do it at all!
I am not doing great with the exercise, it seems everytime i get motivated and start regular workouts, something happens and i have to stop for a while. First I hurt my back a few weeks ago and that finally got better, so i started my treadmill again and after 4 days i have severe knee pain in my left knee. i am going to the dr this week about it, but i suspect tendinitis.
I am tolerating just about everything, but I have avoided ALL sugar, I won't even touch anything with sugar listed in the ingredients. I tried broccoli last week and although i didnt vomit, I couldnt get it to go down, it sat in my throat for a few hours and that really sucked. Other then that, i havent gotten sick at all, and I am getting in 50-60oz of water and 30-40grams of protien a day. I am not losing my hair(yet) and remembering my vitamins every day. I have anemia(still) and that wears me out sometimes, but most days I am doing good! I have no regrets about this surgery, just feel sorry for myself some days when i cant eat what I want, but I know it is so worth it and quickly get over those feelings.
I hope you are all doing well, and I will keep checking up on those with surgery dates fast approaching, I am thinking of you all! Take care!

Thanks Willby!(((HUGS))) It is a lot tougher than before because I am now in my third year and at a 4-year school, instead of a community college, they expect a lot more and it consumes all my free time. But in the end i will be happy I did it. Keep in touch! I hope things are getting better for you!

Hi Karyn,
Glad to see you are doing well! You are working on getting those protein grams up, right? Insufficient protein will cause hair loss above all. 60 grams is the minimum you should get, 80 to 100 grams is the ideal!
I can't believe you are working and in school in such a short time after surgery! Good for you. Just try to walk when you can, doubt you have time for much else.
Take Care and keep up the good work!

-Lori, you are looking fantastic! I love your new picture. I am working hard at my protien intake, at the moment all I eat is protien and still only get about 40 grams a day, I just saw my nutritionist today and she said that was ok, because I only eat 1/4-1/2 cup of food per meal, i am not allowed snacking and my Dr. does NOT approve supplementing protien. But my doc thinks I am doing great and unless she's concerned, I'm not! Thanks for caring!
