Hey everyone. I just realized that i won't be able to be a member of the BMI over 50 for much longer. My BMI started at 58.4, and is now at 50.1. I have dropped 32 pounds in 3 months, and 48 pounds in total. I am hoping to have surgery at some point in April or May. Wish me luck! I have my scope and my psych assessment on March 16, just 3 days away, and then my final appoiintment with my surgeon, he will then send my info into the hospital and I wait not so patiently for my phone call!!!! Once a member, always a member!!! My BMI is now 39.8. It is where we came from that that makes us who we are. We can always relate. Congratulations on your success. Loris

Carrie, This list is for people who started with a BMI over 50. Hopefully, all of us will be under that soon! I started with a BMI of 57.1, it is now 36.1! I'm thrilled. Take care, Lori 384/248.5/168

Carrie, I didn't even know about this group until my BMI was close to what it is now. But I remember all too well what it's like to be SMO. As Loris said, once a member, always a member. Best of luck. Kasey 365/210 (nonop) Best of luck. Kasey 365/210 (nonop)

hi carrie: i hope you keep coming back here - as said in a prior post, some of us no longer fit in this category, either, but once we've been at this size, it's something we'll never forget. so we can always relate. congrats on your success. and keep coming back - if you want to. hugs dorthe
