Lets not give out wrong info.
I want to remind folks,we are here to try to help one another,I have read things on these boards that just aren't fact.I don't think anyone is lying, don't get me wrong, but with some things that are wrote here people go by what they think or hear.I know we're not medical professionals and we're here to tell our stories. But to give facts we aren't sure of is not fair.Hope I did not offend anyone.....Kathy
hi kathy: you didn't offend me. i hope i'm not the person from whom you received wrong info. i always try to be supportive and, if offering an opinion try to remember to label it as such. but i think everyone on the board needs to remember that for a professional opinion they should seek professional help. and also, everyone has a different doctor, nurse, nutritionist, etc... so they all have different answers, too. i have found that what is truly a 'fact' for one person, may be totally different for another. something else i try to remember when i read the boards.
have a great weekend.

Hi Kathy,
I agree with both you and Dorthe. I, too, have read many posts from people who seem to have all the answers (not necessarily on this board), but like Dorthe said, what may be fact for one person, may not be for someone else. Everyone is so different, and every program is different. The world of WLS is still a very big unknown and even surgeons and nutritionists are still trying to figure things out... no one has all the answers - and especially all the right answers. I just try to remember, also, to go by what I have been told by my health professionals and do what works for me. I take people's opinions into consideration and like to hear ideas from others, but I always check into things and don't just blindly take someone else's advice. If ever I post on the boards, I try to preface it with a "this is just my opinion" or "this is what works for me". But thank you for bringing this very important subject up; I think sometimes people just don't realize how they're coming across.
Take Care,
Tanja
