HOME FROM HOSPITAL
((((((((((Priscilla)))))))))) You sure had a hard time of it. So glad that your skilled surgeon knew what to do to make things better for you. How long were you in the hospital? Was it open or lap?? I know you are still weak so post when you can..and as much as it may hurt, walk back and forth in your house...no running..at least not for now. Take care sweetie, you are on your way!

Hello Priscilla!
Welcome home from the hospital! So sorry to hear you had complications, but GLAD
that they were able to help immediately while in the hospital. I arrived home on the 20th from my surgery. I have about 18 steristrips holding my incision shut instead of staples...funny how different surgeons do things; mine was open, too -- ran into lots of scar tissue from my radiation enteritis (from cancer treatments) and from my colostomy surgery. I wish you all the best as you continue to recover and as you have your staples and drain removed Wednesday. I didn't have a drain either -- instead I had an NG tube in for 4-5 days. Did they remove your filter after surgery or does that stay in?
Take good care of yourself -- and all the best as you get to know your new pouch!
Patti
