Gym Is Open (Friday)
Hi everyone! TGIF, don't know if I could get up at 4:30 am even one more day this week...I'm dragging! The time change is really going to be rough on me.
Here is what I did today:
Weight Training Circuit (Complete 3 cycles)
1. Machine Leg Press 1 x 8
2. Machine Chest Press 1 x 8
3. Cable Seated Row 1 x 8
4. Machine Leg Curls 1 x 8
5. Standing DB Shoulder Press 1 x 8
6. Standing DB Biceps Curls 1 x 8
7. SB Dumbbell Triceps Extension 1 x 8
8. Machine Back Extension 1 x 10
9. SB Crunch 1 x 15
For cardio I did 10 minutes on the recumbant bike, then a 15 minute walk around the track.

I didnt just jump on the machine and last 30 minutes! I had to build up to 30 minutes! My first week using it I only lasted 8 minutes! It took some getting used to.. But now Im changing the settings every 2 weeks to make it harder so I can build some muscles and get more out of it.. I do know that the one I use you put in your age, sex, weight, and height so it can calculate calories burned and tell you when you are in cardio etc.. This morning in 30 minutes I burned 240 calories and had my heart rate in cardio for 20 minutes.. It is a great workout, and the more you put into it the more you get out of it!! I personally have a love/hate relationship with it... I curse it everyday when I step on.. then when I see how much I did I absolutely love it!!
Keep with it, you will build your time up and get a great workout!

Today is my *PACE* day ... self-PACEd exercise class at the local hospital for seniors, arthritic sufferers and those with back problems. It's a pretty great little class ... enough low-impact aerobic to get some older hearts pumping, combined with stretching and flexibility exercises AND memory exercises.
That will be an hour's worth, so I'll only do my home strength work-out later (working on upper arm strength, back and ab muscles, and thighs) ... squats and squeezes, wall slides, arm weights and resistance bands, heel raises and steps (back porch here I come!). No elliptical or Nautilus today.
Should have been to water class this morning, but had a dr's appointment so had to skip it.
