Can you believe it???? Can you??
Met with my surgeon today. I just lover her. She was very patient with all of my questions and saw to all of my needs being met. I am not too happy about having to do a liquid fast 2 weeks prior to surgery but I will get through that too. She suggested Optifast dose anyone else has any other ideas about liquid fasting products they can suggest. She wanted me to have 5 drinks per day. That is very expensive anyway I was then asked about the date of surgery and what would be a good date for me I asked for May 3rd but was told I couldn't have that day. My doctor only has surgery on Monday and Tuesday so I chose May 2nd. So for now May 2nd is tentatively my day I will let everyone know once it is set in stone. So I could be having surgery in 34 days. Wow so much to do so little time. What am I going to wear to the hospital and home what can I eat oh my God it is really going to happen. It is my time for a blessing.
thank you for all of your prayers.

My surgeon only requires 2 day clear liquids and no bowel prep so I lucked out but other surgeons specifically at Vanderbilt, want their patients to do Carnation Instant Breakfast Drinks, the sugar free kind. Drinking 5 of those a day. You might want to look into that. Perhaps you can call your surgeon and tell her that the Opti-fast is too expensive and ask for an alternative
Good luck to you!

Congrats on the surgery date. I am just 15 days out myself. The time will fly by.
To wear at the hospital.... I had top and bottoms this was it is easier for them to check your tummy even if you are sitting in a chair and lets face it we do not have to be so lady like getting out of bed. Lol....
I brought socks my feet got cold... Slippers for walking .. Are they doing it lap or open? Will you have a drain tube after surgery?
Good luck
