LET'S HAVE FIVE SPRING QUESTIONS!!

Hey ya'll!! I hope ya'll are having nice weather and are ready for the spring. Even if not right now, lets answer some questions to let everyone know a lil about our differences in spring..... 1) What does the spring time weather make you most want to do? Plant trees, flowers, and veggie garden... 2) Do you celebrate easter? And if so what plans do you have? We celebrate it with my daughter and her husband that have my grandchildren. They come over and we do the egg hiding thing and I have made easter bunny cakes since my girls were small. Gotta have a chocolate one and coconut one with eyes and ears and the whiskers lol.... 3)In the state you live in, what is the most major thing that blooms this time of year? We have bradford pear trees and dogwoods blooming and not to mention the azaleas are so pretty. 4) What type of food do you eat for easter Sunday? This year will probably be grilled food. We have always had the traditional ham and dressing and stuff but this year think will do different if the weather permits. But no easter goodies for me. Always od'd on chocolate lol... 5) Will you splurge and buy some new clothes for the spring?Well I bout have to because im not far from being naked lol.... Hope yall injoy the questions....... Marge

Oh Marge, I WISH I was able to grow things, but I totally do NOT have a green thumb. I once planted tulips upside down, and about a foot too deep! Never saw those plants again for sure! 1) What does the spring time weather make you most want to do? Makes me want to be outdoors, and lately it makes me want to paint again. I'm getting ready to star****er-coloring again, and I can't wait (getting new paints this weekend). 2) Do you celebrate easter? And if so what plans do you have? Not so much anymore since my kids are grown. We generally just go out to eat. 3)In the state you live in, what is the most major thing that blooms this time of year? Bradford pear trees, "Tulip" poplars and dogwoods. Azaleas will be later in April here. 4) What type of food do you eat for easter Sunday? See #2 ... depends on where everyone wants to go 5) Will you splurge and buy some new clothes for the spring? No ... but am planning an excursion to the brand new Goodwill Store this weekend. So, not NEW clothes but will be new for me. I just can't afford to keep buying retail clothes as fast as I'm going through them. MJ

1) What does the spring time weather make you most want to do? Plant flowers, I love planting flowers. It also makes me want to clean house and make everything fresh and new feeling. Since living here in Hawaii my internal clock is a little screwed up because we don't have a "real" winter you kinda move through warm weather all year (for the most part although I was freezing last night, we've had bad rain and cooler weather) Hawaii is growing on me!?! 2) Do you celebrate easter? And if so what plans do you have? Well last year my neighbor taught us a new tradition..we emptied eggs and put confetti in them and the kids got to smash them over each others heads. Usually though we decorate and hide eggs. 3)In the state you live in, what is the most major thing that blooms this time of year? Again living in Hawaii we have blooms all year long which is very nice. I do kinda miss the falling leaves of Fall but you can't beat the palms, Bird of Paradise, all the Bougainvillea,and the Philodendron leaves are bigger than my husbands hands!! There are so many blooms all year long it's hard to pick out just one. 4) What type of food do you eat for easter Sunday? Ham, rolls, mac and cheese, green beans, potato salad, Mac salad..honestly I can't remember... lots of food!! 5) Will you splurge and buy some new clothes for the spring? No I'm still pre-op and hubby said he's not buying new clothes until after surgery..

Marge, Its so good to see you posting! Ive wondered how things are going with you... 1) What does the spring time weather make you most want to do? Spring makes me want to get out and do everything! Ive planted flowers, a few veggies, and even put down grass seed to try once again to get a pretty lawn this year!! Im keeping my fingers crossed!! 2) Do you celebrate easter? And if so what plans do you have? We dont make a big deal out of Easter.. We are military, have no kids, and are too far from family to have family dinner... So we pretty much just spend all holidays home- just DH & me.. 3)In the state you live in, what is the most major thing that blooms this time of year? Florida... uhh... I think everything is starting to bloom.. I dont have a clue what things are alls I do know is that everything has a yellow tinge from the pollen and my allergies are kicking my butt... I cant wait for the pollen to go away!! 4) What type of food do you eat for easter Sunday? I plan on some ham and hard boiled eggs.. Other than that I dont know.. I dont plan to do a big meal since I cant eat much and my DH is trying to lose a little weight too.. 5) Will you splurge and buy some new clothes for the spring? I dont have a choice but to buy some clothes for spring.. I have nothing to cover my shar pei body!! Everything from last year is just plain too big and falls off me.. Ive put off buying clothes as long as I can.. If I dont do it soon then Ill be running around naked!! I think I might hit the consignment shops this weekend to try to find some clothes!!

Oh Amber I'd almost forgot about that coating of pollen in the Spring. I feel really bad for you! At home everything is covered, the cars, the streets, houses..it's a mess and when it rains it's all piled up on the side of the road. Take care of yourself and hopefully it will all be gone soon.. And if so what plans do you have? yes we celebrate Easter. We do the secular things of hiding eggs and easter baskets but more of the Christian things. We tell the Christian Easter story the night before and then church the next day. 3)In the state you live in, what is the most major thing that blooms this time of year? Usually ham and the regulars but this year we are in a non-military community ( so no big get togethers) and not going "home" so it will be just DH and the boys. My oldests will have his 6th birthday just before Easter and he has picked to go to Outback for his birthday dinner so we are going to do that for Easter Sunday. 5) Will you splurge and buy some new clothes for the spring? I did break down and bought a new church dress 2 weeks ago ( we went home for spring break and I wanted a new dress to go to church there in. ) It is a size 22 I am so excited Thanks for posting the ?'s they are so interesting to see what others lives are like Jennifer 357/269/175ish

In Utah, it is still a bit early. 4) What type of food do you eat for easter Sunday? not applicable to me. 5) Will you splurge and buy some new clothes for the spring? I just did. I've bought a bunch of new clothes, size XL and 18s, amazing...I know I will get smaller, so I tried not to go too crazy. It is so good to wear clothes that fit right again! Lori

Hi Marge, 1) What does the spring time weather make you most want to do? --it makes me want to look for my allegra--then put the top down on my Beetle and ride somewhere pretty with really loud music blasting from my IPOD Nano. 2) Do you celebrate easter? --Naw--not for a really long time. I had thought about coloring some eggs because I saw a show on DIY. 3)In the state you live in, what is the most major thing that blooms this time of year? --I don't know--that is a good question. We just moved here so I don't know too much about this state--other than to say it is very pretty here. 4) What type of food do you eat for easter Sunday? --When my son was little we use to make Easter baskets. My ex-husband used to hide the eggs. I have since remarried--my 2nd husband is Jewish. 5) Will you splurge and buy some new clothes for the spring? --No, no I am pre-op--I have so many clothes. I love clothes--my husband is afraid. He keeps saying,"I can't afford this procedure". He thinks I will be shopping at Neiman Marcus Everyone have a great weekend!!!!!!!!!!! Mary

I know it's still to early for the fish to be biting, but this weather just makes me want to get a line in the water! 2) Do you celebrate easter? We dont do anything too special for it. 3)In the state you live in, what is the most major thing that blooms this time of year? I have no idea....but whatever it is, I am allergic to it! I couldnt survive without my Clariten! 4) What type of food do you eat for easter Sunday? In the past, I would usually cook a ham, greenbean casserole and mashed potatoes and my partner would make deviled eggs and a green salad. Since I am having my WLS 2 days after Easter, I am thinking STEAK this year. 5) Will you splurge and buy some new clothes for the spring? Not likely. I have a bunch of clothes in my closet that I got from my boss after SHE had surgery and they should fit me well into the summer.

Great ones Thanks Marge!!!! 1. Spring makes me want YARD SALES and the potato salad only I can make LOL oh and Daffodils and Tulips.. even though I can't grow a thing! 2. Usually we have a big family get together 3. Not a lot blooming yet here 4. I've never been able to eat ham.. so I make the potato and macaroni salad and SIL brings the ham and I usually have chicken or turkey while they kill a pig...LOL 5. NO I am a pre op and plan on shopping in my own closet very soon as the begins to move in the right direction!!
