Can you breath while flat on your back on the operating table? I went for an ultasound on my tummy and I had a hard time breathing.Any info would be great.Thanx Kathy.

It won't matter, within a couple minutes you will be under and intubated, and the machine will do the breathing for you. Carrie

I agree relax before you really even realize you are laying flat you are asleep. I was worried about it to but it was fine for me. Good luck priscilla

The last thing I remember before waking up from surgery is scooting from the gurney to the operating table. I don't even remember laying down. The anesthesia is really powerful. Not only will they intubate you, they'll be monitoring your pulse and oxygen level the whole time. Don't worry It will be fine.
