Great weekend update

I don't know if anybody remember but a couple of weeks ago, I posted that my husband decided that he didn't want a "skinny" wife and then last week I posted that I had to go to a funeral for his grandmother and I had some concerns about negative feedback and what to eat. Anyway, here's the update. Everything went great! Everybody was supportive of me and the surgery. Nobody gave me a hard time when it came time to eat. Also, I found out where Ernest's anxiety was coming from about the surgery. One of his family members told him that once I lose the first 100 pounds I was going to change and I wouldn't want him anymore because that's what happened to a friend of his. I assured him that everything was alright and we were good and now he's back to being supportive. He's even going to take time off of work to take care of me (once I get a date).

Hi Marie. I do remember your original post and I am so glad things are working out for you. It's nice when people surprise you by being supportive. It's a shame someone had to tell your husband that in the first place. I dont know what gets into people. I think all of our significant others have a little fear down inside that we will "get skinny and not love them anymore". A little reassurance is a good thing. I am glad you were able to make him understand and he is back to being supportive husband guy . Lisa L.
