Phone Bill.. WAY OT

I need to vent a little here!! If I dont do it soon then my head is likely to explode!! I just got my phone bill today.. I opened the bill and I swear I went exorcist! My head had to have spun around a few times!! My poor DH said my eyes changed color and my face turned bright red!! It jumped 16.20!! I dont have long distance or anything on my phone.. All I have is a phone that rings and allows me to call local numbers!! I use my cell phone for long distance.. They expect me to pay over 50.00 a month for a phone?? Ohh hell NO!! Im calling the cable company tomorrow to get my phone service from them!! Atleast with them I get unlimited long distance, call waiting, 3way calling, etc for under 55.00 a month.. Okay.. I think Im feeling a little better.. Next I think Ill call the phone company and tell them to shut the phone off.. I will be nice enough not to tell them where to put their service since I know customer service has nothing to do with rate increases... But if any of you happen to work for my soon to be EX phone company- you might want to duck and pass the call on to someone else!! Thanks for letting me vent.. Amber

Hey Amber! I feel just like you did...When we first moved to Atlanta Ga, we had no long distance just local and our phone bill was like $60 every month with all the fees and taxes and whatever eles they hid in those confusing bills. So I went to my cable company(comcast) and now I pay $39.99 every month and I have unlimited long distance and all the little extras too (call wait..call id ect.) Its outragous how much those companys charge and get away with! The other best thing is all my utilities are on one bill!! God Bless, Stephanie

Stephanie, Comcast!! Thats who Im switching to! They have been the best cable and internet provider.. So why not go ahead and add on the phone too!! So is the phone service from Comcast decent?? My home phone is now OFF!! When I called the customer service rep was kind to enough to tell me that this is the first month of the rate increases and that there will be another in 2 more months.. There is no way Im paying that much money just for a house phone!! Amber

Oh yeah! Comcast was great they came right out to the apt. and they installed everything. I have had no problems with comcast and my bill is always the same. Getting rid of my regular phone company (Bellsouth) was the best thing I ever did. I have family in NH and OK and I call them every day sometimes 3 times aday and talk forever and the bill is still $39.99. I put my computer internet on the bill to! So I just get all my bill is one, if only I could get my eletric on there I would be allset!!! Steph

BELLSOUTH!!! Yep, thats who I got the bill from!! Thankfully Comcast will be out here Friday to hook up my phone!! Im am done dealing with BellSouth and their crazy price increases... Thanks for the good report on Comcast! Amber
