questions
Anyone out there start out at around 400 lbs? Ok for you here are my questions...
I am almost 7mths out I have lost 154 lbs, I weigh 263, most of the people in my support group started out at the weight I am now. My question is am I going to continue to lose the weight just as I have in the past? I really want to know from a person who weighed about the same. My support group leader can't relate and I need support, I am feeling so lost and want to stay on track. Are there any other things I should be doing other than
6meals a day
55-65 gr protein
64 oz water
exercise 3x week
carb stay below 55gr

I just got my Bariatric Bible from my Patient education class today and I will write down what I will have to be doing at 7 months post op - I know I will be close to that weight then, IF I work hard.
food
5 meals 3 hrs apart - protein depends on height - only carbs are fruit and veggie or skim milk
water - 80 oz a day
exercise
cardiovascular (walk swim etc) 40 minutes- 2x a day- 6 days a week
strength building exercises 3x a week
flexability routine - 1x a day - 7 days a week
I weigh 449 and have chosen my doctor because his patients have so much success. The above schedule is from month 7 until you reach your ideal body weight then it backs down to 40 minutes 4x a week cardio for maintenance

I think you are doing more than terrific!!! I do understand how hard it is trying to do the very best you can..and see others..just pass you by...It's so hard not to fall into "the great race" syndrom. I think you should just keep on keepin' on. There is no reason to believe that this is all you will ever loose. Our road is in some ways very different then our "light-weight" friends. When a light-weight gets approval, I used to think..."wow, I'd be sooo happy to be 197 pounds right now" Everybody loses..and gains at their own rate..and yes, it is very frustrating! Don't be discouraged, you have come soooo far! Have a great week-end!

Hi Angie,
I saw your response to my "25 lbs Goal" post ... and I think this is what you were meaning about answering some questions. I weighed 442, and if you read that post you know where I'm at now at 12+ months out.
My nutritionist wants me to stay at 80-85 gr protein per day. And for the carbs she pretty much said 45 - 50 so that's about that same as yours.
